**General Orthopedic Surgeon**
**Location: Nashville, TN**
**Board Certified/Eligible in Orthopedic Surgery**
• Community-based hospital serving Nashville and Davidson County, committed to providing high-quality care to both underserved populations and the broader community
• Joint Commission-accredited facility offering comprehensive services, including emergency care, acute care, and ambulatory services
Responsibilities:
• Evaluate patients through medical history reviews, physical examinations, and diagnostic imaging
• Diagnose musculoskeletal injuries, diseases, and degenerative conditions
• Develop and implement treatment plans, including medication, physical therapy, and surgical intervention
• Perform orthopedic procedures, including fracture repair, arthroscopy, and reconstructive surgeries
• Provide post-operative care and monitor patient recovery progress
• Collaborate with physical therapists, primary care providers, and other specialists to ensure coordinated care
• Educate patients and families on diagnoses, treatment options, risks, and recovery plans
• Maintain accurate and timely medical records in compliance with legal and institutional standards
• Stay current with advancements in orthopedic medicine and surgical techniques
• Participate in on-call rotations and consultations as required
Collaboration and Communication:
• Work closely with nurses, radiologists, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to deliver comprehensive patient care
• Communicate clearly and effectively with patients and their families regarding diagnoses and treatment plans
• Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and case discussions to optimize patient outcomes
Qualifications:
• Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) degree
• Completion of an ACGME-accredited orthopedic surgery residency
• Board-certified or board-eligible in Orthopedic Surgery
• Minimum of 2 years of orthopedic experience preferred
Skills and Competencies:
• Strong clinical, diagnostic, and surgical skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
• Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment
• Compassionate, patient-centered approach with a commitment to community health
• Proficiency in orthopedic procedures and surgeries
• Excellent hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to patient safety
