Travel RN First Assistant (CVOR) — Columbia, MO (Contract)

Join a Columbia, MO team as a contract/ travel Registered Nurse supporting cardiovascular operating room (CVOR) services. Start ASAP for a day-shift assignment (6:45 a.m.–5:15 p.m.), 40 hours/week. Compensation: $3,128 per 40-hour week.

Key qualifications

• Active RN license in the practicing state.
• CVOR or cardiovascular surgery experience; first-assist experience strongly preferred.
• Excellent clinical judgment, surgical skills, and clear communication.
• BLS required; CNOR and First Assistant certification preferred.

Core responsibilities

• Serve as a first assistant in CVOR cases—perform suturing, retraction, hemostasis, and other intraoperative tasks as directed by the surgeon.
• Prepare patients and the operating room, maintain strict sterile technique, and ensure instrument/supply readiness.
• Continuously monitor patient status intraoperatively and respond promptly to changes.
• Accurately document surgical interventions, communicate effectively with the surgical team, and contribute to efficient case flow.

This role is ideal for an experienced perioperative RN comfortable with cardiovascular cases and first-assist duties who is available for immediate travel assignment.
