RN - Labor & Delivery (L&D) Night Shift (Mattoon, IL)

We’re looking for a caring and skilled Registered Nurse to join a Labor & Delivery team in Mattoon, IL. This full-time, night-shift position starts 05/18/2026 and follows a 12-hour schedule (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM). There are no weekend requirements.

What you’ll be doing:

• Providing hands-on nursing care in Labor & Delivery, supporting laboring patients, newborns, and their families.
• Collaborating with the clinical team to manage admissions, labor progress, delivery, postpartum care, and neonatal stabilization.
• Responding to emergencies and using appropriate resuscitation and life-support techniques when needed.
• Documenting care and communicating effectively with physicians, support staff, and families.

What we’re looking for:

• ADN required.
• Current RN license in Illinois (Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation).
• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification.
• BLS/CPR certification (within 90 days of hire) — highly preferred.
• ACLS certification (within 90 days) — highly preferred.
• Strong clinical judgment, empathy, and the ability to work effectively on night shift with a multidisciplinary team.
