Requirements:
- Current and valid State license (Mental Health Counselor, Psychologist, Licensed Clinical Social Worker)
- Must have a Master's or Doctorate degree in counseling or a related field
Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough assessments to evaluate clients' mental health, including interviews and standardized assessments.
- Create personalized treatment plans for clients, establishing goals to address their mental health concerns.
- Deliver evidence-based psychotherapy and counseling to address clients' emotional and behavioral issues.
- Be prepared to respond to crisis situations and provide immediate intervention and support to clients in distress.
- Educate clients and families on mental health conditions, treatments, coping, and self-care.
- Maintain confidential client records, documenting assessments, treatment plans, and changes in status.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals, social services, and community resources for comprehensive client care.
- Demonstrate cultural competence and sensitivity with diverse clients, respecting their backgrounds and needs.
- Follow ethical and legal standards in mental health practice, including client confidentiality and informed consent.
