Rate: Local — $1,040 / 36 hours

Minimum Requirements

  • Active, valid Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) state license
  • BLS certification

Core Responsibilities

  • Provide direct nursing care under RN/physician direction: medication administration, wound care, vital signs, and basic treatments.
  • Perform focused patient assessments (physical exam, history, medication review) and contribute to individualized care plans.
  • Administer prescribed medications and treatments accurately per protocol; document administration.
  • Assess, clean, dress, and monitor wounds/incisions for infection or complications.
  • Monitor and record vital signs (BP, pulse, temperature, respiration) and changes in patient condition.
  • Maintain accurate patient records including treatments, observations, and medication records.
  • Educate patients and families on diagnoses, medications, self-care, and preventive health measures.
  • Insert, maintain, and monitor IV lines; administer and observe IV fluids/medications as allowed by scope.
  • Provide urinary catheter care (insertion, maintenance, monitoring).
  • Collect specimens (blood, urine, sputum) for laboratory testing.
  • Assist with patient comfort, mobility, positioning, and pain management.
  • Respond to emergencies following established protocols and provide basic life support as needed.
  • Follow infection control practices and PPE use; handle and dispose of medications/supplies per regulations.
  • Collaborate with RNs, physicians, therapists, and support staff to coordinate care; may supervise CNAs/UAPs when applicable.
  • Advocate for patient rights and needs.
  • Participate in continuing education and training to maintain competencies.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.
