JOB OVERVIEW
• Job Title: Audiologist
• Job Type: Locum Tenens

• Service Setting: Outpatient Clinic

• Coverage Period: ASAP – Ongoing
• Clinical Shift Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
COVERAGE DATES
• ASAP – Ongoing
PATIENT INFORMATION
• Patient Demographics: All ages (Birth to Geriatrics)
• Patient Volume/Census: Approximately 16 – 20 patients per shift
• Case Mix: Diagnostic hearing evaluations, hearing aid services, and audiology consultations
FACILITY INFORMATION
• Department: Yakima Ear, Nose & Throat
• EMR System: Epic
• Office Equipment Available: Audiology diagnostic equipment and hearing aid programming systems
• Specialty Backup Available: ENT/Otolaryngology support
• Support Staff Available: Medical Assistants and office staff
• Reason for Coverage: Long-term vacancy coverage
PRIVILEGES & COMPLIANCE
• Hospital Privileges Required: No
• Credentialing Timeline: Approximately 90–120 days (expedited possible with clean history)
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

REQUIRED PROCEDURES
• Pure tone air and bone conduction testing
• Speech audiometry
• Impedance audiometry
• Hearing aid evaluations and fittings
• Hearing aid maintenance and troubleshooting
JOB REQUIREMENTS
• License: Washington state license preferred
• Education: Master’s or Doctorate in Audiology with clinical practicum
• Certification: Certificate of Clinical Competency in Audiology (CCC-A) if applicable
• Certifications: BLS required
• Experience: Audiology clinical experience required
• Other Qualifications: Ability to interpret diagnostic results and recommend treatment plans
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
• Perform comprehensive diagnostic hearing evaluations
• Interpret audiology test results for patients and physicians
• Conduct hearing aid evaluations and fittings
• Provide hearing aid instruction, maintenance, and troubleshooting
• Recommend medical follow-up or hearing protection when appropriate
