Join a busy hospitalist team in Gloversville, NY providing inpatient adult care on a 7-on/7-off day-shift schedule beginning April 2026. This locum tenens role supports a 75-bed hospital using Meditech Expanse and supplements existing coverage.
Coverage and Schedule
- Start: April 2026 — ongoing
- Schedule: 7 days on / 7 days off, day shifts only
- Coverage type: Clinical inpatient hospitalist coverage
Clinical Scope and Volume
- Adult patient population with an average census of ~33 patients/day
- Admissions required (typically 3–4 admits during night coverage)
- General hospitalist practice with ICU management responsibilities, including ventilator support as needed
- Responsibilities include daily rounding and participation in code and rapid response teams
Facility and Support
- 75 hospital beds
- EMR: Meditech Expanse
- Onsite team: 4 physicians and 2 APPs, with NP/PA night coverage supported by telehealth and pulmonary backup
- Standard hospital equipment and resources available
Privileges, Compliance, and Compensation
- Hospital privileges required; temporary privileges not available except for limited emergency situations
- Rate: TBD
- Travel, lodging, and malpractice insurance provided
Required Skills and Certifications
- Active NY medical license and DEA with NY address
- Board Certified or Board Eligible within 5 years (ABIM/ABFM)
- Residency in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine; ICU experience required
- Mandatory certifications: ACLS (AHA), ATLS, PALS, Infection Control
- Additional requirements: clean malpractice history; case logs for past 24 months; minimum 50 CME credits; TB test; flu vaccination; copy of driver’s license

- Provide comprehensive inpatient care and manage ICU patients, including ventilator management
- Respond to codes and rapid response events
- Collaborate closely with APPs, pulmonary consultants, and telehealth providers
- Maintain accurate documentation in Meditech Expanse
