Coverage Period: June 29, 2026 – August 31, 2026
Coverage Blocks (weekly):
- June 29–July 6, July 6–13, July 13–20, July 20–27, July 27–Aug 3, Aug 3–10, Aug 10–17, Aug 17–24, Aug 24–31
Schedule:
- Office: 8:00 AM–4:00 PM
- Procedures: 7:30 AM–3:30 PM
- On-call: 24-hour beeper call, weekdays and weekends
Patient Population:
- Adults
- Volume: ~15–20 patients/day
- Case mix: IBS, GERD, colitis, ulcers, gallbladder disease, other GI disorders
Clinical Duties:
- Inpatient and outpatient GI care
- Perform upper endoscopy (EGD) and colonoscopy; diagnostic GI procedures
- Manage broad range of GI conditions
- Participate in 24-hour call coverage, including weekends
- Document care accurately in Epic EMR
Facility and Support:
- EMR: Epic
- Standard GI procedural equipment available
- Anesthesia support for procedures
- Support staff: NP, LPN, procedural support staff
- Reason for staffing: Supplemental coverage
Credentials & Requirements:
- Active NY medical license required
- Board certified in Gastroenterology
- Minimum 2 years recent clinical experience
- Epic experience required
- Certifications: BLS, ACLS
- Strong communication skills; continuous work history with no significant gaps
