Contract, non-travel opportunity in Marlinton, WV. Start: ASAP. Duration: 9 weeks. Schedule: Nights, 7:00 PM–7:30 AM. Rate: Local $1,084/36 hours.

Requirements:

• Active, valid Licensed Practical Nurse state license
• BLS certification

Overview:
Provide direct bedside nursing under RN or physician supervision, delivering safe, compassionate care in accordance with facility policies and regulatory standards.

Key responsibilities:

• Perform focused patient assessments, document findings, and contribute to individualized care plans.
• Administer medications and treatments accurately, including IV medications and fluids; monitor infusion sites and functionality.
• Manage wound care: evaluate, clean, dress, and monitor for infection or complications.
• Monitor and record vital signs and changes in patient condition; maintain accurate medical records and medication documentation.
• Provide catheter care, assist with specimen collection (blood, urine, sputum), and support activities of daily living.
• Educate patients and families about diagnoses, medications, self-care, and preventive health measures.
• Collaborate with RNs, physicians, therapists, and support staff to coordinate care and ensure continuity.
• Respond to emergencies following established protocols and provide basic life support as needed.
• Adhere to infection control practices, safe medication handling, and proper disposal of medical supplies.
• Advocate for patient rights and comfort; assist with mobility, positioning, and pain management.
• Supervise CNAs or unlicensed assistive personnel when applicable.
• Maintain professional development and comply with facility policies. Additional duties as assigned by management.
