Requirements

• Valid, active Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) state license.
• BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care under RN/physician guidance: medication administration, wound care, IV therapy, vital signs, and basic procedures.
• Perform patient assessments (physical exam, medical history, medication review) and contribute to individualized care plans.
• Administer prescribed medications/treatments safely and document administration per protocol.
• Assess, clean, dress, and monitor wounds/incisions for infection or complications.
• Monitor and accurately record vital signs and changes in patient condition; maintain clear, timely documentation.
• Insert, manage, and monitor IV lines and urinary catheters; recognize and report complications.
• Collect specimens (blood, urine, sputum) for laboratory testing.
• Provide patient and family education on conditions, medications, self-care, and preventive measures.
• Assist with patient mobility, positioning, comfort measures, and pain management.
• Respond to emergencies following facility protocols and provide basic life support as needed.
• Follow infection control, medication handling, storage, and disposal procedures.
• Collaborate with RNs, physicians, therapists, CNAs, and support staff to ensure coordinated care; may supervise CNAs/UAPs when assigned.
• Maintain professional development and compliance with nursing regulations.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.
