Coverage: Clinical only; ongoing starting July 27, 2026
Schedule: Flexible shifts (days, swing, nights, weekends). Typical night: 7:00 PM–7:00 AM
Patient Population and Volume
- Adults
- Approx. 70–80 reads per 8-hour shift
- Case mix: plain films, CT, MRI, stroke protocol imaging
Clinical Responsibilities
- Interpret diagnostic radiology studies (plain films, CT, MRI)
- Perform rapid stroke protocol CT interpretation
- MRI abdominal and joint reads preferred
- Meet turnaround-time and high-volume read metrics
- Communicate critical findings per required timelines
- Document and report using PACS (GE)
Facility and Support
- PACS: GE
- Specialty backup: Cardiologists available for cardiac ultrasound reads
- Reason for coverage: Supplemental
Credentials and Compliance
- Active Illinois license required or willingness to obtain
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Radiology
- Hospital privileges required; credentialing ~16 weeks
- Malpractice, travel, and lodging covered
Other Requirements
- Prior diagnostic radiology experience in high-volume settings
- Ability to meet turnaround time expectations
