We’re seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse for a contract (non-travel) assignment in Keene, NH. This role starts ASAP, runs for 11 weeks, and follows an overnight schedule (Mon–Thu, 11:00 PM–7:30 AM). Compensation is $976 for a 32-hour week.

What you’ll bring

  • Current, active LPN license for the state.
  • BLS certification.
  • A patient-focused attitude, good communication skills, and the ability to collaborate with a multidisciplinary team.

What you’ll do
You’ll provide hands-on nursing care under the supervision of RNs or physicians, supporting patients’ comfort, safety, and recovery. Your day-to-day will include:

  • Administering medications and treatments accurately and following facility protocols.
  • Performing patient assessments (physical exams, med reviews, and histories) to help develop individualized care plans.
  • Monitoring and documenting vital signs and changes in patient condition.
  • Managing wound care: evaluating, cleaning, dressing, and watching for signs of infection or complications.
  • Starting, maintaining, and monitoring IV lines and administering IV meds/fluids as required.
  • Providing catheter care, including insertion, routine maintenance, and monitoring for issues.
  • Collecting specimens (blood, urine, sputum) for lab testing.
  • Keeping thorough, timely patient records of treatments, medications, and observations.
  • Educating patients and families about diagnoses, medications, and at-home care strategies.
  • Assisting with mobility, positioning, pain management, and other comfort measures.
  • Responding to emergencies and providing basic life support as needed.
  • Following strict infection control practices and handling/disposing of meds and supplies safely.
  • Promoting preventive health measures like vaccinations and screenings.
  • Advocating for patients’ needs and coordinating care with RNs, physicians, therapists, and support staff.
  • Occasionally supervising CNAs or unlicensed assistive personnel, when required.
  • Staying current with nursing best practices through ongoing education.
  • Performing other duties as assigned by management.
