We’re hiring an LPN for an 11-week contract in Gallup, NM, starting ASAP. This is a local, non-travel role with a rotating schedule of Sunday, Friday, and Saturday, 7:00 AM–7:30 PM. Compensation: $1,040 for a 36-hour workweek.

What we need from you

  • Current, active Licensed Practical Nurse state license
  • BLS certification

What you’ll do
You’ll provide hands-on nursing care under the direction of RNs and physicians. That includes medication administration, wound care, IV therapy, and routine patient assessments to help develop and follow individualized care plans. You’ll monitor and document vital signs and changes in patient condition, collect specimens for lab testing, and assist with catheter care and mobility needs.

You’ll also:

  • Administer and monitor medications and treatments with attention to dosing and protocol
  • Evaluate and manage wounds, watching closely for signs of infection or complications
  • Insert and manage IV lines and observe infusions for proper function
  • Keep accurate, timely documentation of care, treatments, and patient responses
  • Educate patients and families about diagnoses, medications, and self-care strategies
  • Support patient comfort and safety through positioning, pain management, and mobility assistance
  • Respond appropriately in emergencies and provide basic life support when needed
  • Follow strict infection control practices and use PPE as required
  • Handle, store, and dispose of medications and supplies safely and according to policy
  • Collaborate with the care team—RNs, physicians, therapists, and support staff—to coordinate care
  • Promote preventive health measures and advocate for patient rights and needs
  • Stay up to date with nursing best practices and participate in required training
  • Occasionally supervise CNAs or unlicensed assistive personnel as assigned
  • Perform other duties as directed by management
