Locum Tenens Electrophysiologist — EP Procedures, Inpatient/Outpatient (Chambersburg, PA)

Locum tenens opportunity in Chambersburg, PA providing inpatient and outpatient electrophysiology coverage. Schedule is Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM, with ongoing coverage beginning May 11, 2026. Typical commitment is up to 40 hours once per month with additional shifts for vacation coverage as needed.

Clinical scope and volume

• Patient population: adolescents, adults, geriatrics
• Outpatient volume: ~16 patients/day; inpatient census: 10–15
• Admissions, daily rounding, and phone consults required
• Case mix focused on electrophysiology

Procedures required

• Pacemaker and ICD implants (traditional and subcutaneous)
• Loop recorder implant/explant
• Ablations including AVNRT, SVT, and typical atrial flutter

Facility and support

• 270-bed hospital with Epic EMR
• Standard electrophysiology equipment available
• Outpatient clinical team and inpatient APP support; specialty backup on site
• Reason for coverage: supplemental/vacation

Credentials, compliance, and logistics

• Hospital privileges required; temporary privileges available for clean files/urgent needs
• Credentialing timeline: ~90 days
• Active Pennsylvania medical license or willingness to obtain
• Board certified in Cardiac Electrophysiology
• Active DEA with Pennsylvania address
• BLS and ACLS required
• Prior EP experience required; Epic proficiency preferred

Key responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive EP care across inpatient and outpatient settings
• Perform and manage EP procedures and post-procedure care
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to optimize outcomes
• Maintain timely, accurate documentation in the EMR
