Join a Locum Tenens Interventional Radiology team supporting inpatient care in Las Cruces, NM. Coverage begins ASAP and is ongoing with 24-hour beeper call coverage (weekends) on a 1:2 rotation. Call response time is 30 minutes; expected callback volume is ~30%. Typical daily patient volume is 15–18 with 3–5 phone consults. Support includes 4 RNs. Temporary privileges available. Travel, lodging, and malpractice insurance are provided.
Clinical scope and common procedures:
- Ultrasound- and CT-guided biopsies (including stereotactic)
- Needle localizations
- Mammography-related procedures
- Arthrograms and joint procedures
- Abdominal aortography; pulmonary emboli extraction
- Peripheral angioplasty; TIPS
- Tunneled PICC placement
- IVC filter placement
- Kyphoplasty
- Dialysis fistula procedures
Facility and systems:
- 168 beds; Level III trauma center
- EMR: Medhost
Requirements:
- Active New Mexico medical license
- BC/BE in Interventional Radiology
- BLS certification
