We’re seeking a locum tenens Emergency Medicine provider to support a hospital in Dyersville, Iowa. This is a clinical-only, inpatient position providing supplemental coverage starting June 14, 2026 and continuing on an ongoing basis. No supervision is required.

Schedule and coverage

• Coverage period begins: Jun 14, 2026 – Ongoing
• Primary shift pattern: 24-hour shifts (7a–7a); minimum commitment of three 24-hour shifts. Occasional 12-hour shifts may be requested.
• Specific dates needing coverage:
  • Jun 14–15
  • Jul 1–6, 8–11, 12–13, 14–18
  • Jul 19–20, 22–25, 26–27
  • Jul 29 – Aug 3

Clinical environment and support

• Service setting: Inpatient Emergency Department
• Typical patient volume: about 4 ED patients and 4 inpatients per shift
• Department beds: 3
• Onsite support staff: 4 APPs, 2 RNs, 1 CNA
• Support services available: Radiology, Laboratory, Rehabilitation, Infusion Service, and Ambulatory Surgery
• Onsite lab, pharmacy, and medical imaging
• EMR: TogetherCare (EPIC)

Requirements

• Active Iowa medical license or participation in the IMLC
• Board certified in Emergency Medicine, or Board certified in Family Medicine/Internal Medicine with Emergency Medicine experience
• Clean professional record
