Requirements:
- Active RN license
- Graduate of accredited nursing program
- BLS required; ACLS preferred
- Previous CVCU, telemetry, or stepdown experience preferred
- Strong cardiac assessment and critical thinking skills
- Ability to work in a high-acuity environment
Responsibilities:
- Provide nursing care to cardiac and stepdown patients
- Perform continuous cardiac monitoring and rhythm interpretation
- Assess hemodynamic status and respond to changes in condition
- Administer medications, IV therapy, and cardiac treatments
- Manage post-cardiac procedure patients and recovery
- Collaborate with cardiology and interdisciplinary teams
- Educate patients and families on cardiac care and recovery
- Document care and patient status in the EMR
