Position Summary

• Permanent neurosurgery role covering clinical duties and call on a 7-on/7-off rotation (schedule TBD).
• Comprehensive brain and spinal case mix, including trauma and high-acuity patients.
• Opportunities for teaching medical students, residents, and fellows; academic and multidisciplinary collaboration expected.

Clinical Responsibilities

• Perform cranial and spinal neurosurgical procedures, including complex cases.
• Manage neurosurgical trauma and high-acuity patients.
• Interpret advanced neuroimaging.
• Provide evidence-based, patient-centered surgical care in collaboration with neurologists, neurointerventionalists, trauma teams, and other specialties.

• Coverage type: Clinical + Call.
• Specialty backup: Neurologists, Neurointerventionalists, Trauma teams, other specialties.

Qualifications

• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Neurosurgery (if BE, must obtain BC within 5 years of residency).
• Active Michigan medical license or license in process.
• BLS certification.
• DEA registration.
• Most recent NPDB report required.
• New graduates encouraged to apply.
