Position Summary
- Permanent neurosurgery role covering clinical duties and call on a 7-on/7-off rotation (schedule TBD).
- Comprehensive brain and spinal case mix, including trauma and high-acuity patients.
- Opportunities for teaching medical students, residents, and fellows; academic and multidisciplinary collaboration expected.
Clinical Responsibilities
- Perform cranial and spinal neurosurgical procedures, including complex cases.
- Manage neurosurgical trauma and high-acuity patients.
- Interpret advanced neuroimaging.
- Provide evidence-based, patient-centered surgical care in collaboration with neurologists, neurointerventionalists, trauma teams, and other specialties.
Coverage & Team
- Coverage type: Clinical + Call.
- Specialty backup: Neurologists, Neurointerventionalists, Trauma teams, other specialties.
Qualifications
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Neurosurgery (if BE, must obtain BC within 5 years of residency).
- Active Michigan medical license or license in process.
- BLS certification.
- DEA registration.
- Most recent NPDB report required.
- New graduates encouraged to apply.
