Requirements:
- Active RN license
- Graduate of accredited nursing program
- BLS required; ACLS preferred
- Previous cardiothoracic OR experience required
- Knowledge of cardiac and thoracic surgical procedures
- Strong critical thinking and teamwork skills
Responsibilities:
- Provide nursing care for cardiothoracic surgical procedures
- Circulate and/or scrub during cardiac and thoracic surgeries
- Prepare and position patients for surgery
- Maintain sterile field and ensure surgical safety standards
- Monitor patient status and assist with intraoperative care
- Manage surgical equipment, instruments, and supplies
- Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia, and OR team
- Document intraoperative care in the EMR
