Requirements:

• Active RN license in IL (or compact as applicable)
• Graduate of an accredited nursing program
• BLS required; ACLS preferred
• Previous cardiothoracic OR experience required
• Knowledge of cardiac and thoracic surgical procedures
• Strong critical thinking, communication, and teamwork skills

Responsibilities:

• Provide perioperative nursing care for cardiothoracic surgical patients
• Serve as circulator and/or scrub during cardiac and thoracic surgeries
• Prepare and position patients and maintain sterile field and surgical safety standards
• Monitor patient status and assist with intraoperative care and immediate interventions
• Manage surgical instruments, equipment, and supplies; ensure readiness and sterility
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia, and OR team members
• Accurately document intraoperative care and procedures in the EMR
