Join a critical access emergency department in Hot Springs, AR as a locum tenens NP/PA, providing flexible clinical coverage starting July 1, 2026 and continuing on an ongoing basis. Shifts are scheduled based on facility needs, so you’ll have flexibility while helping deliver essential emergency care.

What you’ll do

• Deliver full-spectrum emergency care for patients of all ages in a critical access setting.
• Evaluate, diagnose, treat, and manage a wide range of acute conditions and perform appropriate emergency procedures.
• Work closely with a supervising physician and the ED team to coordinate care and ensure patient safety.
• Maintain accurate, timely clinical documentation and track case logs, CME/CEU history as required.

Facility and team

• Critical access facility with standard emergency department equipment.
• Support from ED clinical staff; supervising physician required.
• Specialty backup is available via supervising physician.
• Coverage is being requested to provide supplemental clinical support.

Requirements

• Active Arkansas NP or PA license.
• National certification: AANP/ANCC for NPs or NCCPA for PAs.
• DEA registration with an Arkansas address.
• Current ACLS, PALS, and ATLS certifications.
• Prior emergency medicine experience required.
• Ability to document case logs and CME/CEU history; supervision by a physician is required.

Patient population and case mix

• Patients of all ages presenting with emergency conditions typical for a critical access ED.
• Admissions and broad emergency procedures appropriate to the setting are included in the scope of practice.
