Join a 12-week contract (non-travel) assignment in Camden, ME starting ASAP. Shift schedule: Monday and Friday, 6:45 PM–7:15 AM. Local rate: $694 per 24-hour period.

Minimum qualifications:

  • Active, valid Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) state license
  • BLS certification

Core responsibilities:

  • Provide direct nursing care under RN or physician direction, including medication administration, wound care, IV therapy, catheter care, and monitoring of vital signs.
  • Conduct focused patient assessments (physical exams, medical history, medication review) and contribute to individualized care plans.
  • Accurately administer medications and treatments, maintain IV lines, and monitor for adverse reactions or complications.
  • Perform wound management—cleaning, dressing, assessment for infection—and collect specimens (blood, urine, sputum) for lab testing.
  • Document patient status, treatments, and changes in condition thoroughly and promptly.
  • Educate patients and families on diagnoses, medications, self-care, and preventive health measures.
  • Assist with patient comfort, mobility, positioning, and pain management; uphold patient rights and advocate for appropriate care.
  • Participate in emergency response and deliver basic life support as required.
  • Follow strict infection control practices and safe medication/supply handling, storage, and disposal.
  • Collaborate with RNs, physicians, therapists, CNAs, and support staff to ensure coordinated care; may supervise CNAs or unlicensed assistive personnel when assigned.
  • Maintain professional development to stay current with nursing standards and facility policies.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by management.

This role requires attention to detail, strong clinical judgment, and effective communication to support safe, high-quality patient care.
