Responsibilities

Pediatric Nurse Practitioner (PNP)
Newborn Nursery | Charlotte, North Carolina
Our growing neonatal practice is seeking an experienced Pediatric Nurse Practitioner (PNP) to join our busy, highly respected Newborn Nursery Service at Novant Health Presbyterian Medical Center in Charlotte, North Carolina. This opportunity represents the addition of our 9th FT PNP and is ideal for a collaborative provider with a strong passion for caring for newborns and supporting their families.
PNP Role & Schedule
  • PNPs work 9hour shifts
  • Responsible for covering newborn services at:
    • Novant Health Presbyterian Medical Center (Charlotte)
    • Novant Health Medical Center – Matthews
    • Novant Health Medical Center – Huntersville
  • Function as an integral part of a collaborative neonatology care team
About the Newborn & NICU Services
  • Approximately 6,000 deliveries annually at Presbyterian Medical Center, with continued growth in newborn services
  • The neonatology team supervises the care of approximately 7,500 well babies annually
  • The Level IV NICU supports approximately:
    • 850 NICU admissions per year
    • Average daily census of 60 babies
  • Strong support from a wide range of pediatric subspecialties, including:
    • Pediatric Surgery
    • Neurosurgery
    • Neurology
    • Pulmonology
    • Cardiology

  • Current APRN national specialty certification
