Locums Anesthesiologist Physician

We are seeking a Locums Anesthesiologist Physician to provide high-quality anesthesia services in Plattsburgh, New York. This opportunity offers a balanced mix of surgical and obstetric anesthesia in a supportive hospital environment. Candidates should be experienced, dependable, and comfortable handling a variety of procedures, including OB anesthesia and general surgery cases.

Compensation: $375-$400 Per hour

Assignment Details:

• Schedule: Full-time or a minimum commitment of 2 weeks per month
• Hours: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–3:30 PM
• Call Requirement: Yes – required (includes OB call); must be within 15 minutes of the facility while on call
• Setting: 100% Operating Room and Labor & Delivery
• Case Volume: Approximately 4–5 cases per day
• Primary Case Mix:
• Bread-and-butter surgical cases
• Highest volumes in Orthopedics and General Surgery
• OB Anesthesia, including labor epidurals and unscheduled C-sections

Responsibilities:

• Administer anesthesia for surgical and obstetric procedures in the OR and L&D units
• Provide comprehensive perioperative care, including patient evaluation, induction, maintenance, and emergence from anesthesia
• Manage OB anesthesia cases, including epidurals and emergency C-sections
• Supervise or collaborate with CRNAs and surgical staff to ensure safe and efficient workflow
• Participate in call rotation, responding promptly to emergency and OB cases

Requirements:

• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Anesthesiology
• Active New York medical license (or ability to obtain prior to start)
• Experience in OB Anesthesia required
• Must be willing and able to take call coverage
• Must be located within 15 minutes of the facility during call
