Summary:
Provide direct, one-on-one nursing care to a medically fragile student in the school setting, ensuring health, safety, and access to educational activities per the student’s care plan (IEP/504).

Requirements:

• Graduate of an accredited Practical Nursing program
• Current LPN or RN license in North Carolina
• Current CPR/BLS certification
• Pediatric or special-needs care experience preferred
• Ability to follow care plans and communicate with school staff and family

Core Responsibilities:

• Deliver one-to-one nursing care consistent with the student’s care plan
• Administer medications and perform clinical tasks (including G-tube feeding and airway/respiratory care)
• Monitor and document health status, vital signs, and changes in condition
• Support classroom participation, daily activities, mobility, and safe transportation (including bus duty if required)
• Communicate and coordinate with school personnel, family, and healthcare providers
• Maintain compliance with school policies, regulations, and professional standards
• Perform other assigned duties related to student care
