Join our team in North Andover, MA on a 13-week contract starting ASAP. This full-time assignment follows a 36-hour weekly schedule: Sun–Sat, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM. Compensation: Travel pay $1,422/36 hrs; Local pay $1,400/36 hrs.
Required: current, active Massachusetts Physical Therapy Assistant license.
Key responsibilities:
- Support the Physical Therapist in patient evaluation by collecting medical histories, measuring impairments, and assisting with goal-setting.
- Implement prescribed interventions, therapeutic exercises, modalities, and equipment to improve mobility, strength, and flexibility.
- Instruct patients and caregivers in home exercise programs, proper techniques, and safety precautions.
- Document treatments, patient response, and progress accurately and timely.
- Collaborate with the PT and interdisciplinary team to coordinate care and adjust treatment plans.
- Follow infection control and safety protocols to maintain a clean, secure therapy environment.
- Provide encouragement and emotional support to promote patient engagement and recovery.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
