Travel RN — Emergency Room Nights in Arcata, CA | $2,052/36-hr Contract, ASAP Start

We’re looking for an experienced Registered Nurse to join an emergency department team in Arcata, CA on a contract/travel basis. This is a night shift position (7:00 p.m. – 7:30 a.m.) with an ASAP start and a pay rate of $2,052 per 36-hour week.

What you’ll bring

• Active RN license in the practicing state.
• Emergency room or acute care experience is preferred.
• Strong clinical skills, sharp critical thinking, and clear communication.
• BLS required; ACLS, PALS, or TNCC certifications preferred.

What you’ll be doing

• Quickly triage and assess patients as they arrive, prioritizing care based on need.
• Provide medications, treatments, and emergency interventions as indicated.
• Continuously monitor patient status and promptly report changes to physicians and the care team.
• Keep accurate, timely documentation of care and patient records.
• Educate patients and families about treatments, discharge instructions, and follow-up plans.
• Take part in ER quality improvement and safety initiatives to help drive better outcomes.
