Locum tenens opportunity in Douglas, Wyoming, providing clinical anesthesia services in a 25-bed, Level III hospital. Flexible scheduling beginning May 18, 2026, with ongoing coverage; exact shift pattern to be determined.
Practice profile:
- Patient population: Adults and pediatrics; approximately 5,500 ED visits and ~250 deliveries annually.
- Case mix: General anesthesia for orthopedics, OB/GYN, GI, urology, podiatry, ophthalmology, pain management, bariatrics, and general surgery.
- Support: Dedicated OR and perioperative staff with specialty backup available (OB/GYN, ortho, GI, neurosurgery, ENT, urology, etc.).
- Equipment: Standard anesthesia and surgical equipment available.
Clinical responsibilities:
- Deliver general, regional, spinal, and epidural anesthesia for adult and pediatric patients.
- Perform regional/nerve blocks and obstetric anesthesia; manage invasive and noninvasive ventilation; assist with bronchoscopy cases as needed.
- Provide anesthesia coverage across surgical specialties, support obstetric and spine cases, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation and adhere to hospital protocols.
Requirements:
- Active Wyoming license or participation in the IMLC.
- NBCRNA certification.
- ACLS required; PALS required if performing pediatric sedation.
- Comfort managing a broad range of anesthesia procedures, including OB and spine cases.

- Hospital privileges required; credentialing typically takes 30–45 days.
