Locum tenens opportunity in New London, CT at a 220+ bed acute care hospital. Seeking a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist to provide clinical-only coverage beginning May 25, 2026, for an initial six-month assignment with potential to continue. Schedule is Monday–Friday with flexible 10-, 12-, or 16-hour shifts and adjustable start/end times.

Clinical scope

• Adult and pediatric cases, roughly 20–25 cases per day
• Bread-and-butter anesthesia: orthopedics, general surgery, plastics, gynecology, urology, ophthalmology, vascular
• No complex cardiac, thoracic, or high-risk neuro cases

Practice environment

• Anesthesia care team model with 3:1 supervision and full OR/perioperative support staff
• Epic EMR for documentation and charting
• Standard anesthesia equipment available
• Coverage needed to provide supplemental support

Privileges, credentialing, and compliance

• Hospital privileges required; credentialing timeframe approximately 90–120 days
• Active Connecticut nursing license required (candidate must be willing to obtain)
• NBCRNA certification and Connecticut DEA required
• BLS, ACLS, PALS current certifications required
• Minimum of 3 years CRNA experience and leadership references requested

Clinical responsibilities

• Deliver general and regional anesthesia for ambulatory and inpatient cases
• Provide airway management and perioperative anesthesia care across specialties
• Function within the anesthesia care team and collaborate closely with surgical and anesthesia colleagues
• Maintain accurate documentation in Epic

Compensation and logistics

• Pay rate: $247/hour
