**Family Nurse Practitioner Opening in Georgia**
Located in Macon, Georgia
**About the Position**
A full-time Nurse Practitioner opportunity is available to provide comprehensive primary care services in a collaborative clinical setting. Working under the supervision of a physician, the provider will diagnose and treat acute and chronic conditions while emphasizing preventive care and health risk reduction in a diverse patient population.
**Responsibilities**
-Evaluate and treat patients with acute and chronic conditions
-Obtain medical histories and perform physical examinations for new and established patients
-Order and interpret diagnostic tests and manage follow-up care
-Prescribe medications and manage refills
-Perform designated clinical procedures per established protocols
-Coordinate specialist referrals, hospital admissions, and discharges
-Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic health record
-Recognize cases requiring physician involvement
-Participate in quality assurance initiatives and organizational programs
-Engage in staff meetings and contribute to clinical policy development
**Candidate Requirements**
-Certified Nurse Practitioner through a nationally accredited organization
-Active DEA registration
-Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification
-Strong clinical knowledge of patient evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment
-Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
-Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
**Skills and Competencies**
-Knowledge of clinical operations, medical billing, and documentation standards
-Ability to maintain quality, safety, and infection control practices
-Experience working with diverse patient populations
-Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage interruptions and workflow demands

-Physical demands include standing, walking, bending, and lifting throughout the day
