Locum Tenens Cardiothoracic Surgeon — Spokane, WA (Inpatient, Clinical + Call)

We’re seeking a board-certified cardiothoracic surgeon to provide supplemental inpatient coverage in Spokane, WA. This is a locum tenens opportunity that starts ASAP and continues on an ongoing basis. You’ll work primarily Monday–Friday with a minimum commitment of two weeks per month, and be available for weekend beeper call (24-hour shifts) with a 30-minute response expectation.

What you’ll be doing:

• Provide clinical coverage and take call for a full spectrum of cardiothoracic cases, including open and endoscopic approaches
• Perform complex valve and aortic procedures such as aortic valve-sparing operations, aortic root remodeling/enlargement, valvular and aneurysm repair
• Perform CABG and other coronary procedures
• Participate in TAVR cases and ventilator management when needed
• Place and manage invasive lines and devices: central lines, arterial lines, PA catheters, and IABP

Team and setting:

• Inpatient service at a Spokane facility
• Support team includes 2 RNs, 1 MA, and 3 APPs
• EMR: Epic

Logistics and coverage:

• Clinical coverage plus call responsibilities
• Call type: beeper; 24-hour weekend call shifts; 30-minute response time
• Travel, lodging, and malpractice insurance are covered

Requirements:

• Active Washington medical license or participation in the IMLC
• Board certification in cardiothoracic surgery
