Surgical Technologist (OR) — Contract/Travel — State College, PA

Join a busy perioperative team in State College, PA, on a contract/travel assignment starting ASAP. This day-shift role offers a competitive rate of $1,674 for a 36-hour workweek with schedules Monday–Friday, either 6:30 a.m.–3:00 p.m. or 9:00 a.m.–5:30 p.m.

What you’ll do

• Prepare and maintain sterile instruments, supplies, and equipment for surgical procedures.
• Anticipate surgeon and team needs; pass instruments and supplies promptly and accurately.
• Monitor and verify proper function of surgical equipment throughout cases.
• Maintain accurate counts of instruments, sponges, and supplies and document discrepancies.
• Record procedural details and communicate effectively with surgeons, nurses, and perioperative staff to support safe patient care.

What we’re looking for

• Surgical Technologist certification (CST) preferred.
• Prior experience in the OR or perioperative environment preferred.
• Strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced setting.
• BLS certification preferred.
