Join a permanent Cardiac Anesthesiology practice in Albany, NY, providing inpatient and outpatient care for primarily adult and geriatric patients (some pediatric cases). This position fills a vacancy and begins ASAP with ongoing coverage. Clinical duties include case management and in-house call.
Key details
- Setting: Hospital (30 ORs), cardiac and vascular case mix; no OB or trauma
- Typical cardiac volume: 6–8 cases/day
- Team: 6 cardiac anesthesiologists; specialty backup from 3 cardiac surgeons
- Shifts: 8-, 10- or 12-hour shifts
- Call: In-house overnight with 2nd, 3rd and 4th call; post-call day off; call ratios 1:5 and 1:8
- Supervision: Will not be required to supervise CRNAs
- Procedures: General and regional anesthesia
Required qualifications
- Active New York medical license
- Board certified or board eligible in anesthesiology
- BLS, ACLS and PALS certification
- Echocardiography board certification and/or cardiac fellowship training
