Locum tenens opportunity in Lewisburg, PA for a non‑interventional general cardiologist to provide inpatient and outpatient coverage. Start date: May 18, 2026 with a minimum six‑month commitment; ongoing coverage preferred. Clinical schedule is Monday–Friday, 7:30 AM–4:00 PM. Call responsibilities include 1–2 weeknights and weekend call on a 1:4–1:5 rotation; weekend call involves rounding. Expected patient volume is ~17–18 adult patients per day. Admissions, rounding, and phone consults are included.

Clinical responsibilities

• Deliver full‑scope general cardiology care for adults in hospital and clinic settings
• Perform and interpret nuclear cardiology reads, stress tests, transesophageal echocardiography (TEE), cardioversions, and transthoracic echo monitoring
• Participate in inpatient rounding and call rotation
• Collaborate with cardiology colleagues and APP support
• Maintain timely, accurate documentation in Epic

Facility and support

• 150‑bed department with clinic resources and cath lab support (role is non‑interventional)
• Epic EMR
• APP support and interventional cardiology backup available
• Clinic and hospital support staff onsite

Privileges, credentialing, and compliance

• Hospital privileges required; temporary privileges available for clinicians with a clean file
• Expedited credentialing with temporary privileges offered

Qualifications

• PA medical license required (IMLC accepted)
• Board certified or board eligible in Cardiology
• DEA required
• Nuclear and echocardiography board certification required; CT certification preferred
• Minimum one year of cardiology experience
• Comfortable managing the full scope of general cardiology
