Join a team providing inpatient and outpatient gastroenterology coverage in York and Waynesboro, Pennsylvania. This locum tenens role is for supplemental clinical coverage with call responsibilities, beginning May 4, 2026 and ongoing.

Schedule and Locations

• York
  • Coverage blocks: 7-day blocks (Mon 7:00 a.m. – Mon 7:00 a.m.), typically one week per month.
  • Typical shift: 10-hour day, 7:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m., plus night call.
  • Call: Nights 5:00 p.m. – 7:00 a.m. and weekends (Fri 5:00 p.m. – Mon 7:00 a.m.).
  • Specific dates needing coverage: May 4 (7a) – May 11 (7a); Jun 22 (7a) – Jun 26 (5p); Jul 20 (7a) – Jul 24 (5p).
• Waynesboro
  • Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. (except Wednesday), working 2 weeks on / 2 weeks off.
  • Call: To be determined.
  • Specific date needing coverage: Jun 29.

Patient Care and Volume

• York: Adults 18+. Expect 30–50 patients per day with 9–16 new consults daily. Rounding is required.
• Waynesboro: Patients 18–99 years old. Volume ~10–11 patients per day. Rounding is required.

Clinical Duties and Support

• Supervise advanced practice providers (APPs): yes. In York, discuss consults and follow-ups with APPs and review patients on the list.
• Procedures:
  • York: emergency procedures as needed.
  • Waynesboro: colonoscopies and EGD procedures.
• Support staff:
  • York: anesthesiology onsite.
  • Waynesboro: 1 MD, 3 APPs, 3 clinical and 2 non-clinical staff.
• Facilities: York (acute care hospital) — 593 beds, trauma levels I–IV. Waynesboro — 30 beds.
• EMR: Epic.

Requirements

• Active PA medical license.
• Board Certified in Gastroenterology.
• DEA registration.
• NPDB report within the last 6 months.
• Experience: minimum 1 year for York coverage; minimum 2 years for Waynesboro coverage.
