Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (C-OTA) — 14-Week Contract in Hayward, CA

We’re seeking a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant for a 14-week contract in Hayward, CA, starting ASAP. This role follows a consistent schedule: Sunday through Saturday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM. Compensation is: Travel $1,505/35-hours; Local $1,484/35-hours.

What you’ll be doing

• Support the Occupational Therapist in evaluating patients to determine physical and functional limitations.
• Help develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on the OT’s recommendations.
• Deliver interventions and activities that improve motor skills, mobility, and independence with daily tasks.
• Teach patients how to use assistive devices and adaptive equipment to maximize function.
• Maintain accurate, timely patient records documenting progress, treatments, and any changes in condition.
• Provide education and training to patients and families for home exercise programs and strategies to aid recovery.
• Communicate regularly with the OT and the interdisciplinary team to ensure coordinated care.
• Follow safety and infection-control protocols to maintain a safe therapeutic environment.
• Offer emotional support and encouragement to patients as they work toward their goals.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Requirements

• Valid and active Occupational Therapy Assistant state license.
