Rate: Travel $1,383/35 hrs; Local $1,362/35 hrs

Required licensure:

• Valid, active Occupational Therapy Assistant state license

Key responsibilities:

• Assist the Occupational Therapist with patient evaluations to identify physical and functional limitations.
• Collaborate in developing individualized treatment plans.
• Implement interventions to improve motor skills, mobility, and activities of daily living.
• Instruct patients in the use of assistive devices and adaptive equipment.
• Document assessments, treatments, progress, and changes in patient condition accurately and timely.
• Provide patient and family education, including at-home exercise programs.
• Communicate with the OT and interdisciplinary team to coordinate care.
• Follow safety and infection-control policies and maintain a safe therapy environment.
• Provide emotional support and encouragement to patients.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.
