LPN/LVN - Long Term Care (Contract, 16 Weeks) — Belen, NM (Evening/Night Shift)

Join a 16-week contract opportunity in Belen, NM, for a Licensed Practical Nurse. Start ASAP. Schedule: Wed–Fri, 6:00 PM–6:30 AM. Compensation: Travel $1,318/36 hrs; Local $1,019/36 hrs.

Requirements:

• Active, valid LPN state license
• BLS certification

Core responsibilities:

• Provide direct patient care under RN/physician direction, including medication administration, wound care, IV therapy, catheter care, and vital-sign monitoring.
• Conduct focused patient assessments (physical exam, history, medication review) and contribute to individualized care plans.
• Perform and document treatments accurately—monitor wounds/incisions for complications and ensure infection control practices and proper PPE use.
• Collect specimens (blood, urine, sputum) and coordinate with the team for lab testing and follow-up.
• Maintain precise, timely clinical documentation of condition changes, treatments, and medication administration.
• Educate patients and families about diagnoses, medications, self-care, preventive measures (vaccines, screenings), and discharge instructions.
• Respond to emergencies following protocols and provide basic life support as needed.
• Safely handle, store, and dispose of medications and medical supplies in accordance with regulations.
• Collaborate with RNs, physicians, therapists, CNAs, and support staff to ensure coordinated, patient-centered care.
• May supervise CNAs or unlicensed assistive personnel when assigned.
• Participate in ongoing professional development to stay current with nursing standards and practice.
• Other duties as assigned by management.
