Job Description

Ref #: C-LPN-9099973

We’re looking for a Licensed Practical Nurse to join a facility in Mount Olive, NC on a 10-week contract (non-travel). This position is available ASAP and follows a 07:00 AM–07:30 PM shift schedule. Pay is Local: $907/36-hours.

What we need from you

  • Active, valid LPN license for the state.
  • Current BLS certification.

What you’ll be doing
You’ll deliver hands-on nursing care under the direction of RNs or physicians. Typical duties include administering medications and IV fluids, performing wound care, monitoring and documenting vital signs, and conducting focused patient assessments to support individualized care plans. You’ll collect specimens for lab testing, care for urinary catheters, and assist with mobility, positioning, and comfort measures. Patient and family education—on conditions, medications, and self-care—is an important part of the role.

You’ll work closely with the interdisciplinary team (RNs, physicians, therapists, CNAs, and support staff) to coordinate care, and you may sometimes supervise CNAs or other unlicensed assistive personnel. During emergencies you’ll respond following established protocols and provide basic life support when needed.

Other responsibilities include:

  • Accurate medication administration and strict adherence to dosing and facility protocols.
  • Ongoing wound assessment, cleaning, dressing, and monitoring for signs of infection or complications.
  • Thorough documentation of patient status, treatments given, and any changes in condition.
  • Following infection control measures and proper PPE use.
  • Safe handling, storage, and disposal of medications and medical supplies.
  • Promoting preventive care (vaccinations, screenings) and advocating for patient rights and needs.
  • Staying current with nursing best practices, policies, and required training.
  • Performing other duties as assigned by management.

If you’re a dependable LPN who communicates well, works collaboratively, and takes pride in providing compassionate, accurate care, this could be a great fit.
