We’re seeking a General Surgery Nurse Practitioner (NP) to provide supplemental inpatient coverage in Santa Rosa, CA from June 1 to August 31, 2026. This locum tenens position focuses on clinical responsibilities and supports a busy Level II trauma center with 338 beds—about 80% adult patients and roughly 20% of cases involving trauma.

What the role looks like

• Inpatient clinical coverage only, working 10-hour shifts (8:00 a.m.–6:30 p.m.) on a 2 weeks on / 2 weeks off schedule.
• Typical surgical volume is about five surgeries per shift, with surgical care and suturing included in your scope.
• You’ll be part of a team that includes 20 physicians and 2 APPs, with lab and x-ray available onsite.
• Electronic medical records are managed in Epic.

Requirements

• Active California license
• Board certified or board eligible in relevant specialty
• DEA registration
• BLS and ACLS certifications
• Prior general surgery experience required
