Overview:
Seeking an experienced CVOR surgical technologist for open-heart cases. Must function reliably in a high-acuity cardiovascular operating room, support sterile technique, and work seamlessly with surgeons and perioperative staff.

Required/Preferred Qualifications:

• Surgical Technologist certification (CST) preferred
• Experience in CVOR or cardiovascular/open-heart surgery preferred
• BLS certification preferred; CNOR preferred
• Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and effective teamwork/communication

Core Responsibilities:

• Prepare CVOR suite, sterile instruments, and supplies for open-heart procedures
• Assist surgeons and circulating staff during procedures by passing instruments and maintaining the sterile field
• Monitor and verify functionality of surgical equipment and devices
• Perform and document accurate counts of instruments, sponges, and supplies before, during, and after cases
• Record procedural details and communicate findings or issues to the surgical team

Work Environment:

• Fast-paced cardiovascular OR with varied shifts; strict adherence to sterile technique and safety protocols required.

Compensation:

• $2,028 per 40-hour week
