Overview
Provide locum tenens OB/GYN clinical and 24-hour beeper call coverage to support local scheduling needs. Assignment begins May 11, 2026 and continues on specified blocks (May 11–15; Jun 27–Jul 3; Jul 17–24), with ongoing availability requested. Agency covers travel, lodging, and malpractice.

Schedule & Call

• Clinic: Weekdays, 12:00 PM–4:00 PM
• On-call: 24-hour beeper call, 6–7 days/week; daily call ratio; 30-minute response time

Patient & Clinical Volume

• Average daily patient volume: 0–4
• Admissions: 0–2 per day
• Rounding: inpatient and outpatient
• Phone consults: 0–4 per day
• Case mix: routine OB and GYN (annual exams, pessary care, etc.)

Facility & Support

• EMR: Epic
• Support staff: RNs (1–3), MAs (1–3), office staff (2)
• Hospital privileges required; temporary privileges not available. Credentialing timeline: <30 days.

Clinical Responsibilities

• Provide 24-hour on-call coverage for the birthing center
• Conduct clinic sessions (OB/GYN annuals, pessary care)
• Manage EPIC in-basket messages and lab results
• Respond to nursing staff clinical questions
• Perform required surgical gynecology procedures

Required Procedures & Skills

• Obstetrics: low- and high-risk pregnancy management; fetal heart rate interpretation (NST/CST/FSE); OB ultrasound performance/interpretation; amniocentesis; routine and complicated deliveries (vaginal, low forceps, breech, multiple births, abruptions); VBAC management; decision-making for and performance of C-sections; repair of 3rd–4th degree lacerations
• Gynecology: surgical gynecology (open and operative/major cases; diagnostic/minor laparoscopic procedures)

Preferred Skills

• OB ultrasound Level I (screening) and Level II (targeted)
• Office/minor gynecology procedures (IUD, cystoscopy, colposcopy, cryosurgery, LEEP, etc.)
• Laser certification

Qualifications

• Board eligible in Obstetrics & Gynecology
• Wisconsin medical license or participation in IMLC (universal license)
• BLS certification required
• Fellowship training preferred
