We are seeking a board-certified Nurse Practitioner to provide locum tenens urology coverage in Eureka, CA (95501). This position supports both inpatient and outpatient services, covering a long-term vacancy while a permanent hire is identified. Schedule is Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m., beginning August 1, 2026 and ongoing. Travel, lodging, and malpractice insurance are provided by the agency.

Clinical responsibilities

• Manage an average daily panel of ~15 patients, delivering independent patient care with minimal supervision.
• Outpatient clinic hours: 8:00 a.m.–3:00 p.m.; hospital rounding: 3:00 p.m.–5:00 p.m. (approximately 1–2 hours daily).
• Document care accurately in Epic and coordinate treatment plans with RNs, MAs, and office staff.

Facility and support

• EMR: Epic.
• On-site support: 2 RNs, 2 MAs, and 3 office staff.
• Hospital privileges are required; temporary privileges are not available.

Qualifications

• Board-certified in relevant specialty.
• Active California licensure and CA DEA registration.
• BLS and ACLS certification.
• Able to function independently with minimal orientation/training.

This is a clinical-only role (no administrative duties).
