Requirements

• Minimum 1 year recent OB/L&D nursing experience preferred
• BLS required
• ACLS, NRP, and/or AWHONN preferred or as required by facility

Key Responsibilities

• Assess, monitor, and document maternal and fetal status during antepartum, intrapartum, and immediate postpartum periods
• Provide hands-on nursing care for laboring and postpartum patients
• Assist physicians and midwives with vaginal and cesarean deliveries
• Administer medications, IV fluids, and treatments per orders
• Operate and interpret fetal heart rate monitoring systems
• Educate patients and families on labor progression, pain management, and postpartum care
• Respond promptly to obstetric emergencies and complications
• Maintain accurate, timely patient documentation and follow infection control, safety, and regulatory guidelines
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure safe, effective patient care
