Location: Lebanon, NH | Type: Contract (Non-Travel) | Start: ASAP | Duration: 8 weeks | Schedule: 06:45 AM–07:15 PM | Rate: $994 per 36 hours

Overview:
We are seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse for an 8-week contract in Lebanon, NH. The ideal candidate will provide hands-on nursing care, collaborate with the interdisciplinary team, and maintain accurate documentation while adhering to facility protocols and regulatory standards.

Requirements:

  • Current, active LPN license for the state of practice
  • BLS certification

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct patient care under RN or physician direction, including medication administration, wound care, and vital sign monitoring.
  • Conduct focused patient assessments (physical exam, history, medication review) and contribute to individualized care plans.
  • Administer prescribed medications and treatments accurately, following policies and dosage instructions.
  • Manage wounds and incisions: clean, dress, assess for infection, and document findings.
  • Monitor and record vital signs and changes in patient condition; update medical records promptly and accurately.
  • Educate patients and families on diagnoses, medications, self-care, and preventive measures.
  • Insert, monitor, and maintain IV lines; administer and observe IV medications and fluids as indicated.
  • Provide catheter care, including insertion assistance when appropriate, upkeep, and surveillance for complications.
  • Collect specimens (blood, urine, sputum) for laboratory testing according to protocol.
  • Support patient comfort, mobility, positioning, and pain management needs.
  • Respond to emergencies, provide basic life support as necessary, and escalate care per protocol.
  • Adhere to infection control practices and PPE use; handle, store, and dispose of medications and supplies safely.
  • Promote preventive care (vaccinations, screenings) and assist with health assessments.
  • Advocate for patient rights and coordinate with RNs, physicians, therapists, CNAs, and other staff to ensure quality care.
  • May supervise CNAs or unlicensed assistive personnel as assigned.
  • Participate in ongoing education to maintain competency and compliance with best practices.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.
