We’re looking for a licensed practical nurse to join a facility in Clovis, NM on a 12-week contract (non-travel) starting ASAP. This is a local assignment with a schedule of Sunday, Friday, and Saturday from 6:00 AM–6:30 PM. Pay is $1,040 for 36 hours.

What we need from you

  • Current, active LPN state license.
  • BLS (Basic Life Support) certification.

What you’ll be doing

  • Provide hands-on nursing care under RN or physician direction — medication administration, wound care, vital sign checks and more.
  • Perform patient assessments (physical exams, histories, medication reviews) and help develop individualized care plans.
  • Safely give prescribed meds and treatments, following dosing instructions and facility protocols.
  • Manage wounds and incisions: clean, dress, and monitor for infection or other complications.
  • Monitor and document vital signs — blood pressure, pulse, temperature, respirations — and note any changes in condition.
  • Keep accurate, up-to-date patient records on treatments, medications, and status changes.
  • Educate patients and families about conditions, medications, self-care, and wellness strategies.
  • Administer and monitor IV medications and fluids; ensure proper IV line insertion and function.
  • Care for patients with urinary catheters, including insertion, maintenance, and monitoring for problems.
  • Collect specimens (blood, urine, sputum) for lab testing when needed.
  • Work closely with RNs, physicians, therapists, and support staff to coordinate care.
  • Address patient comfort and safety: assist with positioning, mobility, and pain management.
  • Respond quickly to emergencies using established protocols and basic life support as required.
  • Follow infection control procedures (hand hygiene, PPE use) and handle/store/dispose of meds and supplies safely.
  • Promote preventive care (vaccinations, screenings) and support health assessments.
  • Advocate for patients’ rights and needs within the care team and facility.
  • Stay current with nursing best practices and complete ongoing training as required.
  • In some situations, supervise CNAs or unlicensed assistive personnel to ensure high-quality care.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.

If you meet the license and BLS requirements and are available for the listed schedule and duration in Clovis, we’d love to hear from you.
