Schedule: Sun, Fri, Sat | 06:00 AM–06:30 PM
Rate: Local: $1,040 / 36 hours

Requirements:

  • Valid, active Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) state license
  • BLS certification

Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct nursing care under RN/physician direction: medication administration, wound care, vital signs, and basic procedures.
  • Perform patient assessments (physical exam, medical history, medication review) and contribute to individualized care plans.
  • Administer prescribed medications and treatments accurately and per protocol.
  • Evaluate, clean, dress, and monitor wounds/incisions for infection or complications.
  • Monitor and document vital signs (BP, pulse, temperature, respirations) and changes in patient condition.
  • Maintain accurate patient records: treatments, medications, assessments, and condition changes.
  • Educate patients and families on diagnoses, medications, self-care, and preventive measures.
  • Administer and monitor IV medications/fluids; ensure proper IV line function and site care.
  • Provide catheter care, including insertion assistance, routine maintenance, and complication monitoring.
  • Collect specimens (blood, urine, sputum) for laboratory testing.
  • Collaborate with RNs, physicians, therapists, and support staff to coordinate care.
  • Assist with patient comfort and safety: positioning, mobility support, and pain management.
  • Respond to medical emergencies following facility protocols and provide basic life support as needed.
  • Follow infection control practices (hand hygiene, PPE) and safe handling/disposal of medications and supplies.
  • Promote preventive health measures (vaccinations, screenings) and participate in health assessments.
  • Advocate for patient rights and needs within the care team.
  • Supervise CNAs or unlicensed assistive personnel when assigned.
  • Maintain professional competencies through ongoing education and training.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.
