Location: Rochester, NH | Contract (Non‑Travel) | Start: ASAP | Duration: 8 weeks
Schedule: Sun, Mon, Sat • 3:00 PM–11:30 PM | Local Rate: $1,440/40 hrs

Position summary:
Provide direct, patient-centered nursing care under RN/physician direction in an acute/long-term care setting. Deliver safe, evidence-based treatments, monitor patient status, document thoroughly, and collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to promote optimal outcomes.

Requirements:

  • Active LPN license in the state of New Hampshire
  • BLS certification

Key responsibilities:

  • Administer medications and treatments accurately, following protocols and physician orders
  • Perform focused patient assessments, review medical history and medications, and contribute to individualized care plans
  • Monitor, document, and report vital signs and changes in patient condition
  • Provide wound care: assess, clean, dress, and monitor for infection or complications
  • Insert, monitor, and manage IV lines and IV medications/fluids as appropriate
  • Care for urinary catheters, including insertion, maintenance, and complication surveillance
  • Collect specimens (blood, urine, sputum) for laboratory testing
  • Maintain accurate, timely patient records of treatments, observations, and medications
  • Educate patients and families on diagnoses, medications, self‑care, and preventive health measures
  • Assist with positioning, mobility, pain management, and basic comfort needs
  • Respond to medical emergencies and provide basic life support per protocol
  • Follow infection control standards and proper PPE use; safely handle, store, and dispose of meds/supplies
  • Advocate for patient rights and coordinate care with RNs, physicians, therapists, CNAs, and support staff
  • Supervise CNAs or unlicensed assistive personnel when assigned
  • Participate in ongoing education to remain current with nursing best practices
  • Other duties as assigned by management
