Setting: Inpatient and outpatient (OR, Endoscopy unit, Cardiac cath lab, Ambulatory Surgery Center)
Schedule: 10-hour shifts, 7:00 AM–5:30 PM
Patient population: Age 16+
Trauma level: II
OR suite: 15 ORs (plus 4 ASC rooms)
Clinical model: Supervision (ACT model) — MD supervision ratio 1:4 overall; 1:2 for cardiac cases. MD not required to be in the room for all cases.
Staff support: RN circulators, scrub techs, anesthesia techs
EMR: Epic
Blocks: Not required
Benefits provided: Travel, lodging, and malpractice insurance covered
Requirements:
- Board Certified (CRNA)
- NY state license or willingness to obtain
- NPDB report
Coverage reason: Supplemental (to support existing CRNA staff; currently 1 CRNA in practice)
