Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) 13-Week Travel Contract in Lanham, MD, Competitive Pay

We’re looking for a motivated Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant to join a busy team in Lanham, MD for a 13-week contract starting ASAP. This role is full-time with a consistent schedule (Sun–Sat, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM). Compensation is competitive: Travel placements pay $1,383 per 35-hour week; local placements pay $1,362 per 35-hour week.

What you’ll do

• Work alongside the Occupational Therapist to help assess patients’ physical and functional abilities and identify areas needing support.
• Help develop and implement individualized treatment plans that focus on improving motor skills, mobility, and independence in daily tasks.
• Lead therapeutic activities and interventions, teach proper use of assistive devices and adaptive equipment, and coach patients through at-home exercises.
• Track and document patient progress accurately—recording treatments, changes in condition, and any notable outcomes.
• Communicate regularly with the OT and the rest of the healthcare team to ensure coordinated, patient-centered care.
• Maintain safety and infection-control standards to provide a safe therapy environment.
• Provide emotional support and encouragement to patients and families as they work toward their goals.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Requirements

• Active, valid Occupational Therapy Assistant license for the state.
